Will it ever stop snowing? Think spring thoughts, it will be here before we know it. Keep on the look out in-store and on-line for new blanket patterns and colors for summer and fall. We wove 16 new blankets last summer. Everything from cozy wool to lighter than air organic cotton. There is always something new going on.

Be sure to make time to visit us for  the Amana Colonies Maifest celebration May 1st and 2nd. We will have demonstrations on weaving, spinning and embroidery throughout the weekend. Come and join the fun!

    * * * * * * * * * * * Notes From A Sheep * * * * * * * * * * * *

Greetings from the Amana Woolen Mill in the historic village of Amana in Eastern Iowa. My name is Lamby and I work at the mill. It's hard being a sheep these days. My wool is so strong and durable ewe don't have to worry about your blankets or garments wearing out for a long time. Here at the mill we make blankets out of my wool as well as cotton for those of ewe who might have an allergy. They make perfect gifts for ewe as well as the Ram in your life. We even have crib size blankets for your little lamb. Well, everybody is heading back to the barn, so I'd better go too. See Ewe next time. Lamby                                 Back
